Short and Sweet Atlanta Elopement

November 19, 2021

I’d been anxious to photograph an Atlanta elopement, honestly, but this one had a lot of added sentimentality for me. There’s something incredibly special about this tiny chapel at Emory! What really made this day the most special to me was getting to document the wedding of some old friends!

Who: Chelsea & Logan

What: Emory Elopement

When: October 22, 2021

Where: Glenn Memorial UMC

Why: When you get each other like these do, spending your life together makes sense.

Chelsea and Logan met at Georgia Tech and have since been on many adventures together, including visiting me in the PNW. With travel restrictions in place, they decided to have a smaller wedding until they can have a proper celebration with the whole family in the future!

It was such a joy getting to photograph these dear friends in Atlanta where we all went to school together. There’s really nothing that makes my job more fun than getting to capture a familiar story like Chelsea & Logan’s!

I’m hoping to document many more elopements in Atlanta (hello, Georgia Tech friends…), but in the meantime, enjoy these sweet people on their most important day! And if you’re looking for places to elope in Atlanta, I know a few spots!

From the Bride

“Emily is the best photographer you could find! She is so sweet and personal and has the best eye for shots and lighting. We had her do our engagement and wedding! For our engagement shoot we were originally going to do it in one spot but it was the small window for wild flowers blooming and she suggested a private spot she knew about. And I mean, the pictures show for itself how GORGEOUS this change of scenery was. For our wedding the pictures were more than I could have imagined! She captured the elegant and classic look I really wanted while making everyone (including me and the groom) feel relaxed so pictures look natural. She is very calm under a lot of chaos which is one thing that any bride needs on her big day! Thank you Emily!!!!!!”
